There are ads on the tube at the moment the grab my eye every time I see them. Thorntons, the chocolate makers, are promoting their website for Christmas with an interesting url. Instead of www.thorntons.co.uk, they’ve used a sub domain to make mmm.thorntons.co.uk. A really easy, witty way to get their message across. I’m surprised that more people don’t use sub domains this way, and I’m sure it’s only a matter of time until they do.

    Until recently the Williams Formula 1 team used bmw.williamsf1.com, BMW have their own team now though so Williams are back to the plain old http://www.
