Oh, good grief! If ever you needed a reason to not stand for parliament, this is it - it sounds like a Benny Hill sketch.

    There was a wonderful interview on radio 4 this morning where Ann Widdecombe talked about how she was in government when Margaret Thatcher was prime minister, and has never experienced sexism AND that this really isn’t an issue.

    It’s nice to see a traditionalist delusion still in full force, keeping the home fires of ignorance burning!

    Although I quite like Ann, I wish she wasn’t so naive. It makes her sound very silly!
